Pre-requisites:

1. Facebook Business Manager Account

A Facebook Business Manager account is essential for managing your business's presence across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. If you don’t already have one, create it at https://business.facebook.com/.

  • Note: You must have either a Facebook page or an Instagram page for your business to set up a Business Manager account.

2. Business Website

A business website serves as a verification tool for authenticating your business's legitimacy and provides customers with a direct channel to connect with you via WhatsApp.

  • Required Elements for Your Website:

    • Business Identity: Clearly display your business name, logo, and contact details.

    • About Us Page: Describe your business activities, mission, and values.

    • Privacy Policy: Outline how customer data is collected, used, and protected.

    • Terms of Service: Include terms that reflect the nature of integrating WhatsApp API for business communication.

3. Phone Number

1. Authenticate Your Phone Number

To proceed with integration, your phone number must be verified via call or SMS.

  • Important Notes:

    • Your phone number must not be associated with any existing WhatsApp Business Mobile App or account hosted by another provider.

    • If you’re using a number currently associated with a WhatsApp account, you need to delete the account:

      1. Open the WhatsApp app.

      2. Navigate to settings and select “Delete my account.”

Alternatively, you can use a new phone number to retain your current WhatsApp Business number.

2. Authenticate with Your Facebook Business Account

Ensure your existing Facebook Business Account is authenticated for a seamless integration. If you don’t have one, you can create it during the process.

  • Important Notes:

    • After integration, WhatsApp usage on your phone will be disabled.

    • Conversation history and contacts from your mobile app will not be migrated to Wabo.ai.

    • If you wish to revert to the WhatsApp Business App later, contact Wabo.ai support for assistance.
