Configure a Welcome Message

A welcome message is the initial greeting or response sent by a bot when a user interacts for the first time. It can be customized in the bot's settings. This message sets the tone for the conversation and guides users on how to proceed, making it essential for creating a smooth and engaging user experience. 

To configure a welcome message, follow the following steps:

  1. Access Bot Builder:

    • Navigate to the Bot Builder module in Wabo.

  2. Select or Create a Bot:

    • Choose the bot where you want to add the welcome message or create a new one.

  3. Add a Welcome Message:

    • In the bot flow, add a starting node or trigger that activates when a user initiates a conversation.

  4. Customize the Message:

    • Configure the welcome message content. You can personalize the message with dynamic variables like the user's name.

  1. Save the Changes:

    • After configuring the message, click Save to update the bot.

  2. Test and Deploy:   

    • Test the bot to ensure the welcome message appears when a user interacts with it, and then deploy the bot.
