Dependency Fields

Dependency fields allow you to create relationships between contact properties, ensuring that when one field value changes, the related fields automatically update based on predefined rules.

Steps to Create Dependency Fields:

  1. Go to Profile

    • Log into your account and go to your profile.

  1. Access Settings

    • In your profile menu, click on the Settings option.

  1. Navigate to Data Management

    • In the Settings page, locate the Data Management section.

  1. Click on Contact Properties

    • Under Data Management, click on Contact Properties to manage your contact fields.

  1. Select Dependency Fields

    • At the top of the Contact Properties section, find and click the Dependency Fields button.

  1. Click on Add Dependency

    • A new panel will appear. Click the Add Dependency button to begin creating a dependency field.

  1. Select Primary Field

    • From the dropdown menu, choose the Primary Contact Property. This is the field whose value will determine the dependent fields.

  1. Select Dependent Fields

    • Move to the Dependent Fields section and select the dependent contact property that will change based on the value of the primary field.

  1. Save the Dependency

    • Once you've selected both the primary and dependent fields, click the Add button to save your dependency.

Now, you’ve successfully set up a dependency between your contact properties. This ensures the dependent field is automatically adjusted whenever the primary field is updated.
