Different Input Types Available in the WhatsApp Flow Builder

In Wabo's WhatsApp Flow Builder, you can create interactive conversations by adding various input types that capture user information and enhance engagement. Below are the available input options you can use while building or editing a flow.

Input Types Available in WhatsApp Flow Builder:

  1. Text

    • You can add different text fields with predefined sizes:
      • Large Heading: A bold, prominent heading to grab attention.
      • Small Heading: A slightly smaller heading for subtopics.
      • Body: Standard text for detailed information or descriptions.
      • Caption: Short, concise text for notes or explanations.
    • You can upload text content with a limit of 80 characters.
  2. Media

    • There are 3 options for media input:
      • Image: Upload an image (Max size: 300KB, Accepted formats: JPG, PNG) to share with users during the flow.
      • Upload Image: Allows users to upload an image while filling out the form.
      • Upload Document: Allows users to upload a document.
  3. Text Answer

    • This section provides 3 types of text input:
      • Short Answer: Includes options for text, password, email, number, passcode, date picker, and phone. You can add a label (up to 20 characters) and helper text (up to 80 characters). You can also mark the field as required using a radio button.
      • Paragraph: Allows users to input longer text. You can add a label and helper text similar to the short answer option.
      • Date Picker: Enables users to select a date. You can also add a label and helper text.
  4. Selection

    • There are 4 selection options:
      • Single Choice: Add a label and options for users to choose one option.
      • Multiple Choice: Add a label and multiple options for users to select more than one choice.
      • Dropdown: Add a label and options, allowing users to select from a dropdown menu.
      • Opt-In: Add a label and a "read more" link for users to opt-in to the conversation.

Using these input types in the WhatsApp Flow Builder helps create dynamic and user-friendly forms, allowing you to gather necessary information and engage with users more effectively. Each input type is designed to handle specific data efficiently, making the flow creation process seamless.
